Community Camera

The Braithwaite community camera on Coledale Beck has recently been upgraded.  The upgrade to the two existing camera heads – one of which faces upstream and the other downstream – means that images are now also available during darkness.  The upgraded camera also provides higher resolution images, so picture quality is also greatly improved.  The camera upgrade and first year of data provider charges were paid for by the Environment Agency, with the installation being completed by Vision Link Ltd.  Above Derwent Parish Council are responsible for the camera, and will take on the data provider charges beyond the first year.

Images from the upgraded camera can be viewed on the Vision Link website at https://www.vision-link.co.uk/braithwaite/ , via Twitter @CA125SY and also via an App on smartphones or tablets developed by Vision Link.  The App can be downloaded at https://www.vision-link.co.uk/community-app/ with a pairing code of ‘203020’ for the Braithwaite camera.  The App enables the user to view the latest images as well as previous images from the camera.’
